Contests and such: some JobBoardDoctor news
Spring is one of my favorite times of year – most importantly, it signals the end of winter! But it also signals the start of job board conference season – and something special this year: a contest.
CareerLeaf and JobBoardDoctor are sponsoring the “What’s your weirdest job board story?” contest. Just tell us the weirdest, strangest, or funniest thing that has happened to you in the course of running your job board, aggregator, or online recruiting site. You’ll be entered into a drawing for a 16Gb iPad mini – and I may select your story to read at the IAEWS Spring Congress! What could be cooler, right? So click here and enter now! (And even if you don’t have a story, go ahead and enter – you can still get in on the drawing for the iPad).
Did I say conference? Well, in fact I’ll be presenting at two this year – and I hope I get to see you there. First up is the IAEWS Spring Congress, April 25-26, in sunny San Diego. Alex Murphy of Beyond and I will be talking about the Job Board Trends survey – including some interesting looks at how it compares to previous years, and how different types of respondents varied in their answers. It’s always a great conference for networking and by the way, it is (ahem) sunny!
Next up is the JobG8 Job Board Summit, June 22-23, in Atlanta. The focus: job boards in 2020, including discussions on tech trends, the evolution of recruiting, ATSs, and branding. I think it will be fascinating – and I’m looking forward to participating.
So…here’s your to-do list:
- Enter the contest.
- Go to the IAEWS Spring Congress.
- Go to the JobG8 Job Board Summit.
- Say hi to me!
- Go home and collapse.
