Change is good
In March of 2009, I published my first JobBoardDoctor post. Was it any good? Well, you can judge for yourself – but I set out a clear task for myself: I wanted job boards to be better. What I promised was to explore how to make job boards better.
Guess what? Hundreds of posts later (about 840, to be exact!), I am still pounding away, trying to figure out what makes good job boards good, and trying to warn you about how to avoid being a bad job board. At least some of the time, I hope I’ve given you a few ideas and made you look at some of the challenges we face in a changing, expanding industry.
But you know what? I have always believed – no, I know – that change is good. It’s good for businesses. It’s good for society. And it’s good for people – even job board doctors. So I want to let you know that a change is afoot at JobBoardDoctor. I am – bit by bit – exiting, and some new doctors are moving in. Doctors who know stuff I only wish I knew!
JobBoardDoctor has officially been acquired by Catch 22 Group. Never heard of it? Well, you likely do know the Co-Founders of Catch 22 Group, Chad Sowash and Julie Sowash. If you don’t know Chad and Julie, allow me to share a little. Julie has spent the last 13 years building the most successful disability-focused niche jobboard and consultancy in the world. She also owns and manages a series of up-and-coming jobboards, and she is ready to lead JobBoardDoctor into the future. Chad, co-host of the wildly popular Chad and Cheese podcast, has 20+ years in the recruitment industry, and when he isn’t rocking the mic or a stage around the world, he advises a portfolio of TA Tech start-ups and mentors start-up leaders.
They – along with a team of other doctors – will be taking up the mantle from here and bringing new and exciting specialties to the table.
So count on the same high quality content via the blog and newsletter. Count on great research and resources. And count on useful and in-depth consulting services. After all – if one doctor is good….well, a team of doctors is great!
And thanks for reading – I appreciate it.
